Stewart Title Opens Escrow Office in Presidio Center
New Escrow Team to Service the San Francisco Region
SAN FRANCISCO, July 24 -- Stewart Title of California, a
wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Title Guaranty Co. and Stewart
Information Services Corp. (NYSE: STC), announces the hiring of Nancy
Germain, Olivia Lopez, Christine Collins and Laura Duffy in Stewart's San
Francisco office at the Presidio Center. This team will be responsible for
processing both refinance and resale escrows and will provide customer
service to clients.
Germain is uniquely qualified to be the Senior Escrow Officer and
Presidio Team Manager. In the past 28 years, Germain honed her skills at
leading title and mortgage companies such as Fidelity, Ticor, SAFECO,
Transamerica and Sutter Mortgage. During this tenure, she learned all
aspects of the industry and is comfortable working with every type of
escrow. However, Germain's expertise lies in co-ops, apartment buildings
and TIC's.
Lopez began doing escrow in her hometown of Saratoga 34 years ago.
Since then, Lopez has gained experience in all types of escrow while
working for First American, and also as an independent contractor for
Fidelity. Lopez now looks forward to serving San Francisco as an Escrow
Officer with the Presidio Center team. Having experienced all sides of the
industry, she now favors residential and commercial construction.
Collins brings 31 years of title and escrow experience to her position
as Escrow Officer for this team. Before joining Stewart, Collins spent 17
years in escrow at First American's West Portal office, in addition to
several other leading title companies. Although Collins' background is
primarily in residential sales and refinance escrows, she is also
experienced in commercial escrows.
A 2004 graduate of Sonoma State University, Duffy is excited to help
people achieve their dreams of owning property. Her experience as an office
manager in a rapidly expanding fashion design company has given Duffy the
organizational and communication skills needed to be the Team
Administrative Assistant. She is also the Real Estate Liaison, assisting
real estate professionals with their research and farming needs.
