Freddie Mac Prices New $5 Billion Two-Year and $5 Billion 10-Year Reference
Notes(R) Securities
MCLEAN, Va., April 12 -- Freddie Mac (NYSE: FRE)
announced today that it priced its new 5.125% $5 billion two-year USD
Reference Notes(R) security due on April 18, 2008. The issue, CUSIP number
3137EAAC3, was priced at 99.973 to yield 5.139%, or 27 basis points more
than two-year U.S. Treasury Notes.
Freddie Mac also announced that it priced its new 5.25% $5 billion
10-year USD Reference Notes security due on April 18, 2016. The issue,
CUSIP number 3137EAAD1, was priced at 99.637 to yield 5.297%, or 37.5 basis
points more than 10-year U.S. Treasury Notes. Both Reference Notes
securities issues will settle on April 13, 2006.
The new two-year Reference Notes security was offered via a syndicate
of dealers headed by Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc., HSBC Securities and
Morgan Stanley. The new 10-year Reference Notes security was offered via a
syndicate of dealers headed by Lehman Brothers, RBS Greenwich Capital and
UBS Investment Bank. An application was made to list the issues on the Euro
MTF market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
Including today's offerings, Freddie Mac has issued $30 billion of
Reference Notes securities during 2006 and has approximately $229 billion
in Reference Notes and Reference Bonds(R) securities outstanding.
