Minker Joins Clear Thinking Group as Managing Director
HILLSBOROUGH, N.J., April 11 -- Alan Minker has joined
Clear Thinking Group, a retail/consumer products manufacturing consultancy
headquartered here, as a managing director working in the firm's
Turnaround/Financial Services and Process Improvement practice groups.
Minker brings over 25 years of financial and operations experience in
retail, wholesale and franchise companies. Over the last 10 years, he has
held chief financial officer and/or chief administrative officer positions
at both public and private companies. During his career, he has had direct
responsibility for such areas as finance, treasury, investor relations,
real estate, lease administration, legal, risk management, human resources,
information technology, distribution/logistics, purchasing, and loss
prevention.
He comes to Clear Thinking Group from Rainbow Apparel Companies,
Brooklyn, N.Y., where he served as chief financial officer/chief
administrative officer. Prior to that, he was senior vice president, chief
financial officer and treasurer at Frank's Nursery and Crafts, Inc., based
in Troy, Mich. Earlier, Minker served as chief financial officer, vice
president finance and human resources for the North American Region of The
Body Shop, Inc., Wake Forest, N.C., and had been senior director of finance
at Footlocker Inc., New York, N.Y.
A resident of Long Beach, N.Y., Minker earned an accounting degree from
Widener University in Chester, Pa., and is licensed as a Certified Public
Accountant in New Jersey and North Carolina.
